This workshop brings together policy makers, industry leaders, research institutes, and international organisations to explore how AI can help overcome long‑standing barriers to implementation.

The session will begin with real-world industry case studies, illustrating how companies are already using AI and energy management to achieve tangible efficiency gains. These examples will highlight what motivated companies to adopt these solutions, the barriers they encountered, and where supportive policies could have made a difference.

The second part will focus on the emerging role of policy in enabling the use of AI and energy management tools. Governments can create the right enabling environment and lower the barriers that often prevent industries from experimenting with or scaling AI solutions. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the key enablers, barriers, and policy options that can help accelerate the use of AI to maximise energy efficiency and enhance industrial competitiveness. This session is held under the umbrella of the IEA Energy Efficiency Implementation Drive.

On invitation only.
